People express themselves in so many ways, I find "body suspension" disturbing. Just looking at images and videos of people piercing themselves and suspending their body in mid air with hooks makes my skin crawl.

The art of body suspensions is starting to become more popular as it is now on the subculture-mainstream border. Apparently body suspensions are used for spiritual means and for the most part, are not painful. Usually you would feel the pain from hooks being inserted into your back, but the rush of adrenaline overcomes this sensation. -bizarremag
